Venable partner Ralph Dengler was quoted in an October 31, 2016, Law360 article about a Texas federal judge's decision to uphold a September 2015 jury verdict in favor of NobelBiz in a patent infringement trial. In maintaining the jury’s unanimous verdict, the judge also sustained the jury's damages award of almost $1.5 million to NobelBiz and added additional costs and interests, and enhanced damages due to the defendants' willfulness. Nobelbiz now stands to receive $2.2 million in damages.

"We felt from the beginning that the facts and the law wholly supported NobelBiz," said Dengler who represents Nobelbiz.

In addition to Dengler, Venable attorneys Andrew MacArthur and Gianna Cricco-Lizza in New York and Bill Hector in San Francisco also represented Nobelbiz. Betty DeRieux of Capshaw DeRieux, LLP served as Texas counsel.
