Leslie A. Lee is an associate in Venable's Intellectual Property group. A registered patent attorney, she has experience in patent prosecution and litigation involving various technological fields, including mechanical devices, medical devices, semiconductor manufacture and design, computer software, telecommunications and automotive technologies. In 2014, Ms. Lee was named to the Lawyers of Color Hot List, which recognizes early- to mid-career attorneys excelling in the legal profession.
Ms. Lee has represented clients in cases before numerous district courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She has experience in all phases of litigation, including initial case assessment, discovery and motions practice, depositions, working with experts, dispositive motions and appeals.
Ms. Lee is a member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of the Greater Washington, DC Area, the American Intellectual Property Law Society and the American Bar Association.
During law school, Ms. Lee was a judicial intern for the Honorable Roger W. Titus of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, and she served as secretary of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and an editor of The Virginia Tax Review. Prior to law school, Ms. Lee was a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and also worked as a test engineer of Nimitz-class aircraft carriers for a defense contractor.
