Karachi N. Achilihu


Kara Achilihu assists private and public companies at every stage of the business cycle, with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance, technology transactions, corporate finance and securities, commercial contracts, and general business law matters. Kara's practice spans a wide range of industries, including technology and life sciences, commercial real estate and hospitality, and financial and educational services.

During law school, Kara certified in business law and gained relevant experience by working for a Fortune 100 company, participating in a transactional negotiation competition involving corporate acquisitions, researching corporate law in emerging foreign markets, and counseling business-centric clients on community equity development. She also advised startup cooperatives and social enterprises on formation and structuring, contract drafting and review, and various compliance considerations.
