Karachi N. Achilihu


Kara Achilihu focuses her practice on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate investment trusts. During law school, Kara earned her business law certification and gained transactional experience by working for a Fortune 100 company, participating in a transactional negotiation competition involving corporate acquisitions, researching emerging international corporate law markets, and counseling business-centric clients on community equity development as a student attorney. In her role as student attorney, Kara advised corporations, LLCs, and community-based groups on corporate governance and structuring, contract drafting and review, entity formation, and various compliance considerations.

Kara worked as a summer associate at Venable as both a first- and second-year law student, where she dealt with corporate matters concerning the simplification of complex entity structures, securities offerings, commercial contracts, and general business law matters.
