Armstrong Scott

Scott Armstrong represents clients in litigation matters across the United States. Scott has significant experience in fact investigation and management, electronic discovery, legal research, motions practice, and deposition and trial support for complex multidistrict litigation involving vaccines and drug products. Prior to joining Venable, he worked on matters involving the medical device and pharmaceutical industries for complex multidistrict litigation and class action lawsuits.

Scott is a 2015 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he graduated with honors and served as senior articles editor for the American Bar Association's Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal.

  • Representation of the manufacturer of an antiepileptic drug against allegations that its product caused birth defect injuries,  including fact development, motions practice, deposition support, trial preparation, and support
  • Representation of the manufacturer of a vaccine that protects against human papillomavirus in both U.S. and international matters involving multiple alleged injuries
  • Representation of the manufacturer of a vaccine used to prevent shingles and post-herpes zoster infection sequelae against claims of injuries
  • Representation of several manufacturers of proton-pump inhibitor medications involving allegations that the medications caused acute and chronic kidney injuries
  • Representation of the manufacturer of therapeutic food and clinical nutrition products with regard to allegations that the products caused low phosphate levels
  • Representation of an American S&P 500 company and one of the largest clinical laboratory networks in the world with regard to allegations of wrongful birth
  • Representation of the manufacturer of a pain medication with regard to allegations involving the False Claim Act and the company’s marketing practices
