Baxter Thomas

Thomas Baxter is counsel in Venable's Corporate Practice in the Los Angeles office. He primarily advises media, entertainment, and technology companies, as well as private equity firms in the entertainment and media space. He has in-depth experience in matters pertaining to the distribution, production, and finance for major films, TV studios, and multichannel video programming distributors (MVPDs). He advises clients on entertainment-related joint ventures, licensing agreements, and mergers and acquisitions.

Thomas has served as in-house counsel for a big four entertainment studio on a variety of corporate matters, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law compliance. During law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Vincent P. Zurzolo of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
