Daniel Funaro


Daniel Funaro helps clients navigate the complicated terrain of the financial services industry. Daniel brings a background in government contracts to his practice. He held positions at Venable and the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office in Frederick, Maryland during law school. As a Venable summer associate, Daniel conducted legal research to assist attorneys with projects in the government contracts and insurance practice groups. He also drafted analysis regarding FinCEN’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a law clerk for the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office, Daniel conducted legal research and drafted memos and motions focused on waiver law, duplicity, and sentencing enhancements. He also reviewed body camera footage to identify incriminating or exculpatory information as applied to the elements of specific crimes.
