Prior to joining Venable, Bill was vice president and senior corporate real estate counsel with a U.S. commercial bank and financial services company, where he oversaw and provided advice for real estate and project development matters involving the purchase, sale, leasing, construction, and build-out of retail, office, and warehouse properties. He also managed legal matters involving the bank's real estate, including vendor contract, litigation, insurance claims, property management, government enforcement proceedings, and condemnation.
Bill has advised landlord and tenant clients on leasing matters involving shopping centers, office buildings, and warehouse facilities, including leasing disputes. He also handled drafting and negotiation of leases, ground leases, letters of intent, tenant improvement work letters, subleases, assignments, SNDAs, and estoppel certificates.
