Ziwei Hu


Ziwei Hu has counseled and represented clients at various stages of litigation in a wide array of sectors, including business disputes, consumer protection, technology, and breach of contract.  In her pro bono practice, Ziwei has successfully obtained post-conviction and immigration relief for her clients, and co-authored an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court that argued against the inclusion of a citizenship question on the 2020 Census.

Before joining Venable, Ziwei practiced at two international law firms and clerked for the chief judges of the Central and Eastern Districts of California. She began her legal career in the U.S. Department of Justice Attorney General’s Honors Program by serving as an attorney advisor at the Executive Office for Immigration Review.
