Alex Martin focuses on researching and analyzing complex documents and issues related to bankruptcy law. Alex is a responsible team player with strong analytical and writing skills. Incorporating these skills into the bankruptcy practice provides Alex with the opportunity to gain expertise across an array of industries.

As a summer associate at Venable, Alex collaborated with attorneys and other summer associates in matters relating to corporate and business law, litigation, intellectual property (IP), and regulatory affairs. While in law school, he did pro bono work for a criminal law firm, summarizing transcripts and compiling exhibits for pro bono cases and honing techniques to challenge faulty witness identification.

During his time at the New York University (NYU) Law School, Alex was a senior editor of the NYU Law Journal of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law and a member of the Student Bar Association. After earning his bachelor’s degree at Georgetown University, Alex primarily worked as a software engineer, contributing to the development of web applications. During his time at Georgetown, Alex worked with undocumented immigrants as an instructor and curriculum developer.
