Prince Mikado counsels clients through a wide array of corporate transactional and regulatory matters, including entity formation, financings, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate governance, and entertainment and media transactions. Prince also advises clients on general business issues related to investing, transacting, raising capital, and operating in the cannabis and crypto industries. Drawing on his background in investment banking and Wall Street financial services, Prince has drafted and negotiated deal documents related to municipal bond investing, institutional and bespoke derivative and swap transactions, asset-backed securitizations (ABS), and collateralized loan obligations (CLO).
Prior to joining Venable, Prince was an associate in the New York office of a global law firm, where he assisted the Federal Reserve in developing market standards in connection with the transition from U.S. Dollar LIBOR (London Interbank Offered Rate) to SOFR (Secured Overnight Financing Rate). Prince also worked in the commodities and institutional securities departments of a multinational investment bank and the structured credit department of a leading European international banking group.
