Elizabeth Njuguna has experience in pre-trial case preparation, fact investigation and management, and discovery in complex civil litigation. Elizabeth works closely with her colleagues and clients to develop creative case strategies. She has also assisted clients in drafting and reviewing various commercial contracts.
Elizabeth has represented clients in such immigration matters as obtaining family-based immigrant visas and U-visas and filing for relief from deportation under the DREAM Act.
Elizabeth has worked as a human rights lawyer in Nairobi, Kenya, where she advocated for women's and children's rights. She helped draft the 2006 Sexual Offences Bill, which passed into law. The bill expanded the scope of sexual crimes against women and children and provided stiffer penalties for sexual offenders in Kenya.
