Tabetha Peavey, an associate in Venable's Tax and Wealth Planning Practice in the Los Angeles office, focuses her practice on advising individuals, nonprofits, cooperatives, and businesses on all aspects of income, business, and property tax planning.
Tabetha has supported cases involving income taxation of nonresident aliens, non-marital support rights, and property tax reassessment. She has advised a solar cooperative on possibly attaining a 501(c)(12) status, a clinic's 501(c)(3) clients on the Unrelated Business Income Tax and the maintenance of their 501(c)(3) statuses, and a client on corporate governance issues. Tabetha also has experience setting up private trust companies.
During law school, Tabetha served as a judicial extern to The Honorable Harry Pregerson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit of California and as a judicial extern to The Honorable Harold Baer, Jr. of the United States District Court in the Southern District of New York.
