Mario A. Richards

Richards Mario
Mario Richards handles a wide range of corporate law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures, corporate finance, securities transactions, and corporate governance. Mario has a particular focus on Maryland corporate law related to real estate investment trusts (REITs). He regularly advises startups and emerging growth and later-stage companies across an array of industries, including technology, healthcare, and finance.

Mario has represented issuers in multiple stock and debt offerings, and provides ongoing advice on federal and state securities matters to public and private companies. He also represents investors and developers in real estate joint ventures for commercial, industrial, and multifamily projects.

During law school, Mario was a member of the Duke Law Start-Up Ventures Clinic, where he advised clinic clients on entity formation and drafted documents related to client commercialization strategies and operational issues.
