Tony Subketkaew leverages his experience working for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in various legal and policy capacities to assist clients with FDA regulatory matters. Tony's practice focuses on such topics as advertising claims, good manufacturing practice (GMP) compliance, product recalls, enforcement matters, labeling issues, and Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) issues.
Before joining Venable, Tony worked in the Human and Animal Food Policy Branch in the FDA's Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA). While at ORA, he provided regulatory counsel to ORA leadership and program offices on import and operational policy, helping develop agency guidance documents and policies. Tony began his career at the FDA as part of the Presidential Management Fellowship in the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, also completing a detail in FDA's Office of Chief Counsel.
Prior to law school, Tony taught elementary school in Baltimore City as a member of Teach For America.
