Nancy Tinch is a staff attorney with Venable's Products Liability and Mass Torts Practice Group in Towson, Maryland. Ms. Tinch represents clients in litigation matters throughout the United States.
Before joining Venable, Nancy worked as an Assistant State's Attorney in the Felony Violent Crimes Division of the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office. Prior to that, she worked in the Misdemeanor Jury Trial, Juvenile and District Court Divisions. With this breadth of experience, Nancy has tried numerous cases to verdict before judges and juries in Maryland's District and Circuit Courts. Sensitive to the needs and concerns of the communities she represented, Nancy regularly attended community and business association meetings.
Before joining the State's Attorney's Office, Nancy worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Alfred Nance, retired Chief Judge of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. She is a 2010 graduate of The University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law where she served as Senior Articles Editor for the Maryland Journal for International Law.
Nancy is the President of the Alliance of Black Women Attorneys of Maryland, Inc., the only Maryland bar association founded by and for African American women attorneys. She is also community-minded. She is a Board Member for Maryland Out of School Time Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing after-school educational programming to Maryland students. She also served as Co-Chair of Cornell University's Class of 2007 Ten-Year Reunion Committee. In her free time, Nancy enjoys tutoring high school students, Olympic weightlifting and crossfitting.
