Steve Vest is a senior policy advisor in the Legislative and Government Affairs Practice in the Washington, DC office. Steve has decades of public and private sector experience and most recently served as the senior vice president of global public policy for Time Warner Inc. He has advised members of Congress, leaders in the federal government, and senior executives at media and entertainment companies, and cable and telecommunications businesses on all aspects of policy, government affairs, regulatory, and political issues. Steve also served as vice president of government relations for News Corporation and later became the vice president of congressional affairs for the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA). After spending time at Gemstar-TV Guide and at an international law firm, Steve returned to NCTA as senior vice president of government relations. He is a seasoned Capitol Hill veteran who began his career serving as a legislative assistant, legislative director, and chief of staff for several members of Congress, where he worked on issues related to cable and telecommunications reform, broadcast regulation, federal elections, oversight, and the day-to-day operations of the House of Representatives.
