Rachel Provencher


Rachel Provencher is an associate in the Political Law and Nonprofit Practices in the firm's Washington, DC office. Rachel advises for-profit and nonprofit clients on aspects of state and federal political law, including campaign finance, lobbying disclosure, gift and ethics rules, pay-to-play laws, and tax implications of political activities. Rachel also counsels public charities, private foundations, and other nonprofits on a variety of legal topics that include entity formation, corporate governance and structural matters, tax exemption, and contract review.

Prior to joining Venable, Rachel was an associate at a Washington, DC law firm specializing in matters of political and nonprofit law. Rachel also served as a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Department of Education, during which time she completed a detail in the Office of General Counsel at the Federal Election Commission.

Before earning her law degree, Rachel was a Teach For America corps member and taught middle and high school students in the Bronx, New York.
