Becky Pearson is a litigator and former Air Force judge advocate who represents clients in all types of litigation, claims, and disputes. Becky manages government contracts litigation; contract award protests before the Government Accountability Office (GAO), federal courts, and the Federal Aviation Administration Office of Dispute Resolution for Acquisition; and administrative claims and contract disputes before agency boards of contract appeals. Clients also rely on her for representation in False Claims Act actions, civil matters before the Department of Justice (DOJ) and federal courts, and government prime and subcontractor disputes arising from business relationships.

She counsels clients on defective pricing and cost allowance questions, teaming agreements, legal and regulatory compliance, ethics matters, and small business issues. She also conducts due diligence related to government contractor mergers and acquisitions, novations, and various post-transaction matters.

Becky's previous Air Force experience in federal litigation and client counseling has given her an insider's perspective and the skills necessary to provide effective assistance to clients in a wide range of government contracts matters.

Representative Matters

False Claims Act (FCA)

  • Defended a national logistics company in an investigation into allegations of overcharging in a nationwide Defense Department contract. After more than a year of discovery, advocacy, and negotiation, settled claims on terms favorable for the client. The government's and the qui tam realtors’ original demand exceeded $1 billion. Under terms of the settlement, the company and a co-defendant paid a total of $13 million, and the FCA allegations against the companies were dismissed with prejudice, waived, and released
