Tammara F. Langlieb

Tammara Langlieb's practice concentrates on assisting clients on a variety of matters, including state and local tax issues, New Markets Tax Credit compliance responsibilities, and their Foreign Account Tax Compliance (FACTA) and information-reporting responsibilities.

As part of her state and local tax practice, she regularly advises clients on multistate tax nexus issues, along with all tax types, including income, sales and use, payroll, and property. She has assisted taxpayers with tax controversy matters and refund claims.

Tammara also has assisted financial institutions, corporations, partnerships, and individuals with their information reporting obligations, backup withholding responsibilities, general tax planning matters, and worker classification issues. In this way, Tammara has helped clients with worker classification audits, navigated trust fund recovery penalty issues, and provided guidance on implementing the new W-8BEN requirements.

In addition, she has been involved in providing tax advice for a number of New Markets Tax Credit transactions and is excited about the opportunity to assist clients who want to take part in the Opportunity Zones program, which is also designed to spur economic development in distressed communities.

Tammara has experience in tax analysis relating to tax-exempt financing, including assisting clients with ensuring that management and sponsorship agreements comply with the IRS safe harbors.

Tammara is actively involved in updating a treatise, Tax Planning for Real Estate Transactions, by Stefan Tucker, Esq.
