On June 10, 2016, the Washington Post
featured an article on Venable's class action suit filed in Baltimore City to ensure that, when criminal defendants are adjudicated pretrial to be mentally incompetent and at risk of harm to themselves or others, they are not held in local jails, as is the current practice. The suit seeks for defendants to be placed in a facility that can properly render needed mental health treatment. Partner Ralph Tyler
