William I. Abramovitz


William Abramovitz is an associate in Venable's Commercial Litigation Group in San Francisco. He focuses his practice on general litigation in complex commercial and intellectual property cases and product liability disputes. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2017. During law school, he competed on and later served on the board of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, and served as president of the Korean American Law Students Association.

While in law school, William served as a judicial extern for the Honorable A. James Robertson II of the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco. In this capacity, he analyzed motions in civil and criminal cases and drafted preliminary judgments, orders, bench memos, and jury instructions, among other tasks, and observed law and motion hearings in Real Property/Housing Court before the Honorable Ronald Evans Quidachay. His judicial work actually began in the summer of 2015, when he served as a judicial extern for Chief Magistrate Judge Joseph Spero at the United States District Court, Northern District of California. While there, he analyzed cases and collaborated with the clerks to draft reports and recommendations, observed settlement conferences and trials, and drafted the order for an appeal for social security benefits.
