Justin Pierce and Henry Daley led an IP workshop at UC Berkeley Accelerator, SkyDeck on July 18, 2017. The goal was to provide the audience with some insight on how to begin to develop a strong IP strategic plan that is best suited to their company. An overview of Patent, Copyright, Trade Secret and Trademark law was covered with a discussion on how to integrate these into a comprehensive strategic plan. Concepts included what can be legally protected, how to determine who owns the IP rights, the process for obtaining protection, and what rights would be covered.
