Associate
Evelynn A. Bui

Evelynn Bui focuses her practice on matters related to corporate law and technology transactions, including agreements involving intellectual property (IP) licensing, marketing and distribution, endorsements, consulting services, and commercial contracts. Evelynn also has experience representing healthcare industry clients in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), governance, and regulatory matters, particularly as they relate to professional practice acquisitions, structuring of professional practice and related management businesses, corporate practice prohibitions, and other regulatory issues affecting transactions.

Evelynn draws on a variety of prior experience gained as a judicial extern for the Honorable Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, a Venable summer associate, and, most recently, a research assistant for the UC Hastings College of the Law Mediation Clinic. While at UC Hastings, she served weekly as the San Mateo Small Claims Court (SCC) Mediation law clerk and collected data for the SCC Alternate Dispute Resolution program.

Prior to law school, Evelynn served as the program director for a DC-based nonprofit aimed at increasing Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) representation in public service through a professional development fellowship that placed college students in federal and congressional internships. She also managed government contracts within the health information management portfolio of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and worked as a consultant supporting communications efforts for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), a government agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
