Jay Prapaisilp advises clients regarding regulatory and litigation matters related to advertising. This experience includes reviewing client marketing and advertisements for regulatory compliance, including terms and conditions, email and text messaging campaigns, endorsements and reviews, and auto-renewing subscription services. Jay has guided companies through Federal Trade Commission (FTC) investigations and helped clients dealing with cases involving the FTC Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR), and CAN-SPAM Act. Jay has also assisted companies defending against competitor challenges before the National Advertising Division (NAD) and National Advertising Review Board (NARB).
Prior to joining Venable, Jay interned at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Civil Rights Division. Before law school, Jay worked as a paralegal at a Washington, DC law firm, where he supported attorneys in a variety of practices.
