On November 4, 2022, Jeanne Newlon presented “Grantor Trust Realization of Gain at Death” at the ACTEC Fall Meeting in San Francisco, California. This presentation reviewed the Code sections used to create grantor trusts as well as other grantor trust issues, such as tax reimbursement clauses, toggling, what happens on the death of the grantor, and the future of the grantor trust.
