Prior recipients of this Award include Congressman Chris Van Hollen, Senator Ben Cardin, The Marriott Foundation, and The Sisters of the Holy Cross.

Paul has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Cross Health Foundation since its formation 9 years ago and served as Board Chair for 3 years and Vice Chair for 2 years. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Cross Health system since 2009 and has served as Vice Chair of the Board for 2 years. He currently serves as Treasurer and chairs the Finance Committee, and he also is a member of the Executive and Governance Committee of Holy Cross Health.

During Paul's period of service, Holy Cross Health has invested more than $450 million in two historic expansions of its health care facilities. In addition, Holy Cross Germantown Hospital opened its doors late last year as the first new hospital in Montgomery County, Maryland in 35 years.
