Receiving grants from the federal government can seem intimidating, and it can be. There are any number of compliance areas where nonprofits seem to be getting into trouble with the federal government. For example, not knowing the appropriate regulatory scheme that applies to your grant or failing to know and understand all of the terms and conditions that apply to a grant will cause legal issues for a grantee.
