On August 3, 2015, National Law Journal released its rankings of the top law firms in the Washington, DC area with Venable ranked among the top 20 in several categories.
In The Legal Times 150 ranking of the largest firms in the DC metro area by total number of attorneys, Venable came in at number 15. Up a spot from last year, Venable had 227 attorneys and 117 partners in its DC area offices. Rankings were determined by a head count of full-time-employee attorneys as of the end of 2014.
On The D.C. 25 list of top revenue grossing law firms in the DC area, Venable ranked number 17 with a 4% increase in revenue over the previous year.
Finally, on The Influence 50 list of top earning lobbying practices in the DC area released on July 28, Venable ranked number 17 overall and number 15 among law firms. The firm saw a 5.2% increase in gross revenue from 47 lobbyists in the previous year.
