Nora Garrote, Venable's partner in charge of Diversity and Inclusion and co-chair of the Intellectual Property Transactions Group, was recognized among Profiles in Diversity Journal’s Latino Leaders Worth Watching for 2021. This award honors confident, determined, high-performing, purpose-driven professionals who create value for their coworkers, customers, community, and, of course, the organizations where they contribute their talents.
Ms. Garrote’s practice focuses on technology and intellectual property transactions and counseling, internet and new media law, technology transfers, and entertainment. She counsels clients in a variety of sourcing engagements, including those involving business process outsourcing and information technology solutions. She has represented clients in the information technology, social media, hospitality, health, energy, direct marketing, financial, and insurance services, and telecommunications sectors. She provides comprehensive counseling to clients with outsourcing, intellectual property exploitation, and e-commerce issues.
As partner in charge of Diversity and Inclusion at Venable, Ms. Garrote helps develop and implement programs, outreach, and mentoring opportunities that foster equity and inclusion within the firm. She previously chaired Venable's Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
