Washington, D.C., February 4, 2002 . . . Venable is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Kurzweil has joined the firm's growing legislative practice as a partner in the Washington, D.C. office.
Mr. Kurzweil brings to Venable over 25 years of legal and legislative experience. Prior to joining Venable, Mr. Kurzweil was a principal in Kurzweil & Associates in Washington, D.C. His current or recent legislative clients include Marriott International, Sodexho (formerly Sodexho Marriott), HMS Host (formerly Host Marriott Services), Nordstrom, and the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians.

Mr. Kurzweil was named one of the top tax lobbyists in Washington, D.C. by Influence magazine in December 2000.

Mr. Kurzweil is a graduate of Duke University and Vanderbilt University Law School. He is admitted to the District of Columbia and North Carolina bars.
