Venable partner Greg Cross was recently profiled in the Baltimore Business Journal article "The Upside of the Downturn." Cross leads Venable's CMBS Servicing and Financial Structuring and Creditors' Rights business groups.
The January 2, 2009 article mentions the increase in bankruptcies filed in just the last six months and predicts increases throughout 2009 and 2010. Business bankruptcy filings rose by 49 percent in the year ended Sept. 30, according to the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.
"There's a lot more fear out there," Cross said.
