The January 15 editions of AmLaw Daily and the Baltimore Examiner noted Sheryl Robinson Wood's move to Venable, where she will focus on white collar criminal cases, internal investigations and corporate governance issues.
Sheryl Robinson Wood formerly served in the Department of Justice's Antitrust and Civil Rights divisions, where she acted as liaison between the department and state attorneys general, as well as with local law enforcement authorities. She also has previously run the investigations arm of global consulting firm Kroll, Inc.
Robinson Wood was quoted in the Examiner article on the reason for her move to Venable. "The depth and breadth of the SEC and White Collar Defense Practice Group made it an easy decision to join the Venable family. I look forward to continuing the level of service that clients expect and deserve from Venable."
Among the areas of her practice she believes will see growth in the next few years will be internal investigations, especially as businesses face regulatory scrutiny that will only increase under the incoming Administration and Congress.
