Venable acted as Maryland legal Counsel to GSC Investment Corp. in the organization’s recent $55 million recapitalization, according to an August 1, 2010 press release from Saratoga Investment Corp. The transaction, in which New York-based investment firm Saratoga Investment Advisors, LLC purchased a minority stake in GSC, cured GSC's debt default and provided working capital to grow the middle-market lending business of the organization. During the transaction, the former GSC was renamed Saratoga Investment Corp.
