A November 4 Association Trends article discussed the first of five post-election events hosted by Venable's Legislative team, with a focus on what issues will be given priority on the legislative agenda of the new Congress.
The team predicted that certain issues which are important to specific associations would disappear from the agenda, while other issues such as individual tax rates, increases in the child care credit, education incentives, and opportunities for small business expensing were likely to see little activity.
The team added that November and December will be "pretty quiet" on the Hill, because some will be moving out and others will be "measuring for drapes."
