The Maryland Disability Law Center's (MDLC) Board unanimously awarded its Breaking Barriers Legal Advocacy Award to Venable in recognition of the firm's exemplary service to people with disabilities. Through MDLC, pro bono attorneys from Venable have provided legal representation to people with disabilities, as well as through the service of two Board members, Mitch Mirviss, who served for over a decade, and Tom Lingan, who currently serves on the Board.
Venable will be honored during the organization's annual Breaking Barriers event, which celebrates "advocates who break barriers for people with disabilities, paving the way for full integration into community life." The event will take place on April 28 at the American Visionary Art Museum.
