Venable partners Jim Hanks, Sharon Kroupa, Stu Ingis and Emilio Cividanes were ranked in the 2011 edition of Chambers Global. The firm was ranked in Capital Markets: REITs and Privacy & Data Security, too.

Within the Capital Markets: REITs ranking, Hanks was described as a "highly distinguished figure in the market" and an "internationally renowned practitioner" who clients say is "a great guy to have on your team." Kroupa was recognized for having a "great deal of expertise" in real estate finance transactions.

Under Privacy & Data Security, Ingis was praised for his "excellent knowledge of the policy and political landscape" and for his "commitment to achieving the client's objectives: it feels as though he's part of our team." Cividanes was noted as being "well versed on data privacy law with a good understanding of the client's business."
