Congratulations to Venable partner Tom Lingan on being awarded the Daily Record's Leadership in Law Award for 2011. The Leadership in Law Award was created in 2000 to draw attention to the many Maryland lawyers and judges whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities deserves particular recognition.
Lingan was nominated for the Leadership in Law Award by Mike Baader who wrote, "Over the past 25 years, Tom has worked tirelessly in mentoring lawyers at Venable, and providing counsel and service to community initiatives and political causes, as well charitable organizations in Maryland." Baader also described Lingan as a "natural leader" and someone whose "tireless, consistent and tremendous contribution of time and effort to the non profit and charitable community is critically important to the quality of life of thousands of people in the region, and the growth and vitality of Baltimore’s business and charitable communities."
