Venable partner George Constantine was quoted in the January 5, 2012 issue of Association & Non-Profit Bisnow on the DC Nonprofit Corporation Act. The new law, which goes into effect January 1, governs the inner workings of nonprofits incorporated in Washington, DC.
If nonprofit organizations were not completely in line with the new law just yet, Constantine said, “When the clock hits midnight on December 31, 2011, there's not going to be some incredible cataclysmic event that occurs if the organization doesn't have its documents 100% in concert with the language of the statute.”
