On Monday, Venable announced a new management team and several leadership appointments. Brian Schwalb has been named Vice Chairman and Lindsay Meyer and Bob Waldman have been named Co-Managing Partners. Karl Racine, who served as Managing Partner for the last six years, will return to his white collar and commercial litigation law practice.

Commenting on his first day, Schwalb said “he's been enjoying the 24-48 hour ‘honeymoon period’ of supportive emails from friends, partners, and family who just heard the good news.” Speaking about the new management structure, Schwalb added that “He feels fortunate to be asked to play a role here, particularly since the new structure will let him spend time practicing law.” Commenting on their new roles as Co-Managing Partners, Meyer and Waldman said, “their new roles will be less office-based and more firm and functionally-focused.”
