In the April 29, 2012 edition, the Washington Post profiled Venable partner Craig Thompson. A corporate attorney focusing on product liability and litigation, Thompson is also an author, professional speaker, and part-time preacher at Celebration Church in Columbia.
Commenting on his busy schedule and fill-every-minute mind-set, Thompson said, “I don’t think there’s any reason to hold back any talents if I can do certain things at the same time and be successful… The reality is I’m not going to live forever … I have a strong desire to do as much as I can in the short period I have.” On his work at Venable, Thompson said, “Doing good for society — the firm and I look at that as a critical part of my business development.” Outside the office, Thompson focuses his community service activities on young people and education, saying “that’s where I get my biggest thrill.”
