Baltimore mayor names Ken Thompson chair of advisory committee searching for new police commissioner

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has named Venable partner Ken Thompson chair of an advisory committee tasked with assisting in the search for the city's next police commissioner. Also on the committee is Mayor Rawlings-Blake’s chief of staff who will serve as vice chair and a group including leaders of three universities and a former city fire chief. According to the mayor’s office, the committee will conduct interviews of internal and external applicants and recommend finalists to the mayor.
