Bryan Rakes has been selected as a member of the 2013 Greater Baltimore Committee LEADERship Class.

The LEADERship was created in 1983 to identify and prepare emerging leaders by introducing them to the complex problems of the Baltimore region and spurring dialogue about how to address them. The LEADERship accepts fifty-four professionals each year through a highly-competitive process, and the program has more than 1,500 alumni. It has become one of the most respected leadership programs in the nation, now attracting nearly triple the number of applicants for the spaces available in each class. Notable graduates include university leaders, business owners, corporate executives and numerous elected officials.

Each program year is filled with seminars, discussions, tours of local programs, weekend retreats and meetings with some of the region’s most influential leaders. Program participants come to know their community, themselves and each other from a completely new perspective.
