Each year World Trademark Review (WTR) honors leading in-house departments or groups through the WTR Industry Awards. Venable had the privilege to sponsor and present the Technology & Consumer Electronics Team of the Year award. Justin Pierce and Andrew Price presented the award to the Honeywell International team. The other nominees included Apple, Intel, Microsoft and Motorola Mobility.
The awards are designed to recognize the vitally important work carried out by in-house trademark counsel, and to identify the teams and individuals that are performing their functions to the highest possible standards. The awards are divided into geographical, industry and individual categories, and the winners are selected from nominations received from the global trademark community.
WTR is the world's only independent multimedia publication dedicated exclusively to reporting on trademark issues for in-house and private practitioners internationally. The WTR platform includes a subscription based, practitioner-led publication, regular outbound supplements, an online resource center and WTR Daily – an email news service written by a panel of leading experts who report on trademark-related developments in key jurisdictions globally.
