Last week, Venable announced the addition of veteran IP litigator Ralph Dengler as a partner in the firm’s New York office. Dengler represents clients in patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and unfair competition matters. His work has run the gamut of industry sectors, including companies in telecom, pharmaceuticals, food packaging, marine dredging, publishing and electronics. Dengler recently retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, following a 22-year career as an Infantry Officer which included combat tours in Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm in 1991 and the Global War on Terrorism in 2003 and 2007-2008. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx, New York, handling felony prosecutions and investigations.
