Venable hosted an event honoring U.S. Appeals Court Judge Damon Keith at the firm’s DC office on May 20, 2014. A Detroit native, Judge Keith is renowned for his contributions to Civil Rights-era law, having decided cases on workplace discrimination and desegregation, as well as cases on illegal wiretapping and deportation of alleged terrorists. Several of Keith’s former law clerks came to celebrate the 91-year-old judge, including Venable partner Claude Bailey.
