CBS News interviewed Venable partner Jim Burnley in a June 15, 2014 video broadcast on trucking companies’ bid to up the legal truck trailer size maximum from 28 feet to 33 feet.
“The freight is going to double over twenty years. We’re going to have to move it if we want our economy to grow, if we as consumers want to get our Amazon shipments, and want our grocery stores supplied,” Burnley explained.
“Fewer trucks, fewer potential for accidents,” he added. “And it reduces congestion.”
