Venable partner Dan Silverman was quoted in a September 1, 2014 Los Angeles Business Journal article on a series of trademark lawsuits by Roll Global. Following a victory before Supreme Court earlier this year, the company is pursuing legal action against several smaller companies over the way they market their products. Roll Global is taking action against one company for using the word “wonderful,” which Roll uses extensively in its products, and another for using a name similar to its POM brand.
“They’re just actively pursuing and protecting their trademarks on all their brands,” said Silverman who called the suits “business as usual” for the company.
