Participating in panel discussion on government sponsored enterprise (GSE) reform legislation
Washington, DC – February 9, 2015 – Venable LLP partner Andrew J. Olmem will speak on a panel at the Structured Finance Industry Group's ABS Vegas 2015 annual conference on February 9, 2015. Mr. Olmem will discuss current legislative proposals impacting GSE reform.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Michael Flood, Director of Advocacy for the Structured Finance Industry Group. In addition to Mr. Olmem, include Armando Falcon, Chief Executive Officer, Falcon Capital Advisors; and Michael Stegman, Counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury for Housing Finance Policy, U.S. Department of the Treasury.
A partner in Venable’s nationally recognized Financial Services, and Legislative and Government Affairs Groups, Mr. Olmem’s practice focuses on financial services regulation and policy. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Olmem served as the Chief Counsel (minority) for the U.S. Senate Banking Committee. He served on the staff of the Banking Committee from 2005 to 2013 during Congress' consideration of the Dodd-Frank Act.
