On September 14, 2015, the National Law Journal named Venable partner Ron Jacobs a DC Rising Star. Co-Chair of Venable’s Political Law Practice, Jacobs built the practice “from scratch upon joining the firm fresh out of George Washington University Law in 2001.” Over the years, NLJ notes that Jacobs “has persuaded the Federal Election Commission to reverse a regulation, helped a trade union survive a potentially fatal congressional investigation and counseled Iowa Republican Joni Ernst’s successful 2014 U.S. Senate campaign.”
