On October 7, 2015, the Daily Business Review featured an article on Venable's victory on behalf of Florida Coastal School of Law in a class action filed by former students. The suit alleged that the school misled applicants by publishing misleading information about postgraduate employment statistics. A federal judge ruled that plaintiffs did not have a claim under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act and dismissed the case with prejudice.
